A winter of sailing awaits on Lake Windermere

Sailing is a 365 day a year activity on Windermere with many people taking to the lake to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of autumn and winter on the lake.
But if something a little more competitive is your thing then the Winter Series sailing regattas held monthly during autumn and winter are perfect. Organised by the Windermere Cruising Association and sponsored by Windermere Marina, these are a chance for a spot of competition out of season and a continuation of the growing in popularity Summer Series of racing.

The Winter Series is also gaining in popularity attracting sailors from across the North West and very serious and competitive ones at that, the weather does not in any way put these participants off! The outcome, plenty of exciting races, close finishes and major competition. All in all, a great day for those taking part as well as spectators alike.
